Sifu Ken Lo is a 7th generation grand master of Wu Mei Pai Kung Fu. He is uniquely trained and knowledgeable in this profound Chinese martial art form. I began studying under Ken Lo as a student in his Wu Mei Pa classes in Manhattan. I was drawn to Wu Mei because of the strength and grace of the practice, because of the deep history of the tradition, and because it is a tradition founded by and well suited for a woman. I felt very accepted and encouraged as a beginner in these classes. Through these classes, Sifu exposed me to Qi and tying form to breath and sinews. I wanted to learn more about connecting my physical movement with internal movement of energy and worked in private lessons with Sifu to study the Bhodidharma Sinew Change Classic. I now do this meridian and sinew practice at home daily and have found it to be truly life changing and am eager to enjoy the deepening the practice over time. Ken is an extremely perceptive person, full of Buddhist wisdom, well studied in history and tradition, and lover and creator of art. Through conversations, he has asked questions and given advice that helped me accept and change my lifes destiny. The Bhodidarma practice and Kens words have are helping me in my life pursuit of connecting to the present and controlling my energy. I will continue to study under Ken and I highly recommend learning from a true master and amazing person!
