I left and trained at schools around the world, came back 11 years later to find the same positive energy I left. Folklore is a great instructor and influential leader. As owners they make sure that everyone that trains or visits here is provided with an ideal environment for fitness, positive reinforcement and an open community. Incredible teaching staff and very family friendly environment. Learning not just self defense but the history and culture behind the martial art disguised as a dance has been an amazing experience with Mestre George. This is the best source to learn about the entire spectrum of Capoeira in Orlando. From Regional, Angola, Miudinho, Contemporânea to other traditions like Samba de Roda and Maculelê. Staff is great and other students are friendly and welcoming.

When I first found and visited capoeira orlando (guerreros), I was a complete novice and did not know about the culture but they received me with open arms and a smile. No matter what level you are, theres something here for everyone, specially with a great mastre that has a lot of knowledge to share 😊

Its been almost 2 years and since day one, both my daughter and I have felt right at home. Being that I started at an older age of 31, I wasnt sure if I could keep it up, but all of the instructors have been encouraging and have helped me push my mental and physical limits to new heights. At 33, I feel better than I did at 23. Our Mestre, George Palmares grew up in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, the birth place of capoeira and has been training since age 5. The warmth and energy of Bahia is perfectly captured in his charismatic personality. Professor Folclore and Instructor SuSu are also perfect complements to his teaching style. All of them are excellent with kids! Oh and the trip to Brazil with our Mestre has given me a new appreciation for capoeira and its roots.If you are even a tad bit curious, you should at least check out a class. You wont regret it.
