During my 2 years at this financial institution, my financial aid was milked almost 40,000. If you do decide to attend this college, please make sure you understand exactly why is being charged on your financial aid and question everything because the people in financial aid are very slick.

Such an amazing campus with the most genuinely helpful staff. They’ve helped me immensely throughout my career journey and I’m so grateful for this school.

Extremely Questionable Practices.This place took out 2 loans under my name when I was told it was one that still shows up on my credit report & affects my financial life a whole 10 years later.Avoid at all cost. This is a rip off for profit institution which 18 month certification costs more than a 4 year degree at a university, their credits are not transferable, It is not a place of proper learning. Was only there for a few months and they charged me for a nearly $30,000 loan.

They said unprofessional school Ive been here for 9 months difficult for them to communicate their system tells you oh we can help you if you call and call send email they never respond and when they do respond they have an attitude with you but theyre really happy when it has to come for their payment oh its your month payment you havent paid yet you need a teacher to teach you study and answer some questions it is always a no no no or theres no time or their answer Google it is disrespectful poor communication poor and they are not one bit professional once the one the first one that helped me get in the school promised a whole bunch of things and after that they were fired do not spend your money in this school

The communication suck, they lie and don’t return phone calls, and what really bothers me is when they’re at fault about something you’re still the one who gets penalized for it you suffer the loss(financial aid) The only reason why I’m trying to stick it out there is because of my student advisor Leshawn Barton I love our connection. But I’m still weighing my options.

I was extremely happy with my experience here (Thank you Rosie, Prof Fleming and Prof Gonzalez) very proud of my accomplishments with this institution and getting ready to pursue my Associates in Medical Billing and Coding with them, however, a year after I graduated I received a bill from a collections agency for $2,000+ to my surprise, it was from FTC. I reached out to whoever I could to have this figured out (Mark, Meghan, Ivette) because according to the financial department at FTC due to my income I was covered 100%. Wrong. They allowed me to graduate and not ONCE did they communicate that I had a balance, not once did they send me a notice to pay a balance due. I got my first notice from a COLLECTIONS agency. NO ONE answered a single one of my questions. To this day I don’t know what I am in collections for when my tuition should have been 100% covered according to Ivette (and I have all the emails to prove it)Never again.

I call tons of times and leave voicemails but can never get a call back or no one is ever in the office. The communication level is absolutely horrible.

A great example of how our educational system works, I decided to give this university a chance when I arrived in Florida because I was looking for something fast, at first everything seemed to be going well, but that did not take long to change, poor communication and lack of professionalism to Solving problems is one of their greatest skills. To make a long story short, they left me stuck with a student loan of almost 20k and unable to graduate.

I’m currently enrolled and I must say that professor Olivio is the best professor yet! She makes everyone feel comfortable with the subject, she takes time after the class is done to assist the students if they need it! 10/10!

I enrolled in the school back in 2012. The price of admission was $30,000 for an AAS degree. I specialized in hardware with wireless technologies. I had a good grade point average. They were going to offer me a job, but I had accepted a job at Apple. So I declined this job here. They were trying to boost their numbers for job placement after school. Finished my program at Kissimmee. This review is for FTC all around. Truly sad that I have to write this review because I was actually happy to be enrolled at first. I got accused and dismissed from the school after I have already passed my certification exam and did my hours. The externship coordinator Natalie Wood and her assistant Jeannette are very unorganized, biased and discriminatory. I hate the fact that I have to report to the school for the same issue regarding hours. I completed my hours, and now when I am at the end they want to say I didnt do my hours when we send them in every Wednesday. It is always an excuse as to why they cannot keep track of my hours. This school is all around a stressful situation. You will be better off going to Valencia College or HCC. Do NOT waste your time or money.

The Florida Technical College-Continuing Education (Orlando Campus) provided personal attention to students. The campus is clean, safe and provides almost anything that a student would need to experience a positive learning environment.After taking a couple of classes at FTC, the instructors provide that one on one attention when needed and provide their personal email and phone number should you need help.The only missing piece for a perfect student experience is a large refrigerator so students can keep their meals cold until meal time.

This place is awful. Management is a disaster here and everything is thrown together last minute. There is no planning. If you’re considering a job here, run. The turn over rate is extremely high due to the hostile work environment and micromanagement. This school is going under, yet they continue to max out the Federal student aid and enroll students. Go to a real school where your degree is actually transferable and has substance. You deserve better!

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my FTC familia (family) theyre so supportive, help us to stay focused till we get to the finish line of our certificate diploma/degree. Truly I believe this college will open up trillion doors for people and plus Im very glad and honored to be apart of such an amazing/excellent school. I will finish up my medical field program then after that go back to my bachelors program for business, and after that doing my masters at Howard University. Also I will further my education to a Dr degree I dont know in what yet though still undecided.

I have to say the reviews made me super skeptical and I have not started yet so I cant speak for that. But Christine has made me feel super comfortable, she is so nice and unlike other schools I feel better about this one. My last University experience was not good and this looks like it will be good. People have to stop looking for the negative in absolutely everything and stop for a moment to to see who is actually in the wrong.

Had a really awesome experience with the school and faculty. They were there for me when I needed help academically financially, or just when I needed advice or someone to talk to. I was able to complete my MA program all while attending UCF for a bachelors. I’m very grateful I had the opportunity of attending the school and program! Thanks guys!!!

FTC is a great place to work. I’ve teach sociology online. The Deans and Directors provide support and encouragement even after hours. Students are the center of the mission of FTC. I am new to FTC but I look forward to 2019.

Florida technical college Orlando campus is a really great school. The staff is really kind and genuinely care about you, and the atmosphere is really great and focused on seeing you succeed. Carmen and Ester have been a great help and they really make you feel welcome.

Im a Student here at FTC I am currently working to obtain a Bachelors degree in Information Technology. The goal is to get Certifications and the best part to that the school gives you vouchers for the exams. The staff will make you feel at home and they are very understanding.

I am very disappointed in this school. All they want is your money. They promised that they would help you find a job. I paid a lot for this school and it doesn’t even help me. This is such a rip off. Even trying to keep in touch with the school they would say they would keep an eye out for job positions. But did I hear back? No of course not. I went to school to become a Medical Assistant and it’s probably not even the right certification you are supposed to have. It’s been almost a year and still no job. Do NOT go to this school. First I must say I had a wonderful experience at this school. I read the reviews before I went in but wanted to go in and not cancel my appointment. First I must say the admissions person that helped me was very helpful and the person in financial aid was very patient with me. I personally met the Director of Admissions when she came in and introduced herself then took me to her office to answer my questions. I want to tell you the words that she told me when I expressed my concerns about the reviews she told me not to let other peoples past experiences dictate my future and so far I have had nothing but good experiences. My professor is very helpful and they call me and check on me. I like that I am not just a butt in the chair. I am three months into my program and hearing from students that got hired. So take it from me dont let other peoples past experiences dictate your future.

The FTC Admission/ Financial Aide Department needs more people like you to aide students through a positive important decision phase. I want to point out that you used a very good technic in getting us refocused with your reintroducing method. I was dead set on not adding any more debt to my already heavy load. However, bouncing around a few ideas with you on how I can apply for more grants and scholarships, and landing a job that will allow me some loan forgiveness options, were all good selling points. The most appreciated part of our time spent together, you did not demonstrate the actions of a pushy sales person demanding that I buy into this opportunity NOW.

Run away from this scam school. They prey on the uneducated youth and give false information regarding job placement rates. The ‘degrees’ or ‘diplomas’ students receive are essentially useless and NOT TRANSFERABLE. The school is going under financially and they are still enrolling students! They are setting students up for failure and manipulating statistics to make the school look ‘accredited’. This whole place needs an audit from the Federal Government.

I ❤❤❤ this school. Professor Forbes was the best instructor. As long as you show up to class, take notes and do your discussion questions then you will do fine. Classes are very small. I started this school in 2016 and dropped out due to personal reasons but i am so glad i returned and finished the MA program and became certified. If this school had a nursing program I would be the first to sign up.

I have experienced nothing but positivity with this school! I am currently a 2x graduate with my Medical assisting diploma and Medical assisting associate of science & on my last year for my bachelors degree of Allied Healthcare Management. This school lines you up with job opportunities and prepares you for the professional world. It’s up to you to give a good impression during your interviews. It wasn’t easy to get a job in the beginning obviously because most jobs want to hire people with experience but if you work hard you can be offered a job opportunity with your externship. It took me about 5 months post graduation to get a job in the field but this is normal! If you think you’ll be granted a job opportunity right away with no experience, that is being unrealistic! I’ve been offered a large alumni scholarship more than once for continuing my education which helped tremendously! I’m paying way less for a bachelors degree than any other school that offers an allied health associate degree program, all thanks to the alumni scholarship!! I originally started in KISSIMMEE which I personally loved because of how devoted the teachers are but transferred to Orlando. Teachers are very hands on and do everything they can to help you reach high for success!! Love this school!

I came in with my guard up but the campus is really nice super clean and the people that helped me were happy to. It’s not super busy but I like that and everyone made me comfortable. Don’t waste your time in this school.... I’ve been trying to get withdrawn from this schoolSince January and I’m trying to get my fincal aid cancel but they are being so unprofessional about it. Ive called them, text my so call “advisor” spoken to the dean and even spoken to the head of finical aid and nothing. My next step is to report them to the better business bureau and let them know how this school scams innocent students just for there employees could get a check. And trust me I know... my aunt used to work here and she got let go but dealt with a lot of discrimination. I dont recommend taking your tests here. While the staff was nice, the testing center is near the front. Right in the middle of my test the students transferred classes. 20 minutes of disruption. It was beyond tolerable (singing in the hallway, wtf?) They did provide ear plugs, and they were new in the packaging. I was not about to use them.I dont think I will be returning here to take any future tests. Unfortunately, it is really close to my house.What I did like nice comfortable seat :)

I graduated from this school. I had good teachers that taught me what I needed to know... No quarrels there. However if you are looking for a place to start because you plan to transfer at some point to a University like UCF, FSU... then this is not the place for you. while they are an accredited institution you will not be able to transfer any of your credits. When you go to another university you will basically be starting from scratch and have a HUGE student debt. You can get the same education at Valencia Community College and pay half or less than what you pay at Florida Technical College and be able to apply your credits at a University.

My brother went to this school and they gave him 14 F’s instead of withdrawing him from the classes because he wasn’t attending then when he called to go and finish his program that’s when he found out that they failed him and took all his Financial Aid the tried to put him in a different program. Don’t worry I saw online where they just had to pay $600,000.00 to the Department of Justice, they will be paying some more because I’m sure my brother is not the only one they did that to so they can collect money. Why don’t they have a zero star lol #iwouldlikeazerostarforthis

This school is very good .But they need to focus more on students that have many difficulties in life. The majority of the students in this school have a language barrier and they need to address this matter . In addition there has to be more support overall not everyone is rich like the professor think .

If you get financial aid and are applying for the medical assistant program on campus, this school might be great for you.If you are interested in the IT program, please keep in mind that the IT associates professor quit due to sexual harassment claims against him (no police were involved), this was June 2016 and he has not been replaced yet. You will be taking classes with the Bachelors IT teacher then online classes.However all the professors Ive met on campus are nice. Most of the online professors are not competent enough to be teaching the classes they are teaching. For example, most Kissimmee professors teach online classes and this is especially bad when you read their profiles and see one guy has a business degree and worked on ATMs for 15 years but is teaching a Preparing for IT certification classes. You have to go to his bosses and scream at them and make a scene with online advisers to get credit for an answers cause he does not know how computers work or even read the current class book. The class book was out of date, it was preparing for A+ certification exams 801/802. The exams were retired in December 2015, I let the online advisers know and they did not believe me and could not navigate a website page!Now onto the front office staff: Ive been lied to countless times from Registrars office, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Career services and the Dean of the school.If youre interested in online classes, choose another school. FTC will harass you via phone calls every week. Week 1: to remind you class has started, week 2: your midterm is coming up, week 3: final is coming up and make sure you turn in all your assignments by the end of the class.If you enjoy getting treated like a baby, reminded of upcoming assignments and your hand held the entire program, then this school is perfect for you.If you want a grown up adult school then go elsewhere and save your life.

I do not recommend this place at all. If you are looking for a career please go to Valencia or UCF. Do not waste time of money in this joke of a place. To start they are very unprofessional they do not explain in detail what you are getting in to . Financial aid is a headache, they are no help and every time you try to call they never pick up the phone let alone email you in regards to status on your money. The only way to get anything done with these people is in person and because they have no other choice. Professors are there to pick up a check and nothing else, they do not care about teaching going to class is a waste of time. All they do is talk about their day and nothing related to class. They are not teachers at all do not get fooled by a title the fact that someone has a degree and a title does not mean that they know how to teach what they learned. It takes a lot to be a professor and to know how teach a student, takes time, patience, a gift to share your experience and knowledge. Not just show up and get paid. The administration is horrible. no professionalism nor respect, they hate to be bother ( why work on customer service if you get bother by questions) Why would a so called prestige collage hire personnel of this category in the first place. This has been the work decision I have ever made, I was fooled by the director of the school when he assured me that the way I was being treated and all my issues were going to be resolved and it did not. People please take my advise take your time, money, and all your energy to learn and gain a real degree by a real university it will take you longer but it will be worth it. Right now I am stuck with $16.000.00 loan from this worthless place for nothing just for a certification that I earn on my own reading a book because from a professor was not. I can assure you that. I just came from my school FTC Orlando, they organize a really cool back to school day or at least they tried.. they could have brought more activities for the kids, and the students should have behaved like grown parents setting an example.. I had an arguement with a woman that bumped my 6yr old in the face.. i tried telling her politely that she hit her, and she started yelling at me..Im 42. Then she started cursing when we are surrounded by children. I am a retunretu student.. and I like my school. But they need to be more organized. Reach out to students and ask for help, many of us have hobbies that we could have brought for the children.. a little more student body envolvement would have made it great, and most.of all that the student which are adults behave properly.. thanks for the day..

I will like to start with am a current student at this school i have no complaints about the teachers they are quick to answer if you have any questions my problem comes from the rest of the staff i been calling since Thursday last week i have call 5 times and different voicemails and no one return the call or pick up this goes for the register office and also the dean both where called yesterday i called and i was told to email the register thats the best way to get in contact with them so i ask waoo 4 people working and no one can pick up today is the day and still no response honestly am thinking to switch to a different school is there no one to answer questions. Worst school ever. You dont learn anything and the professors are a joke. If you dont speak Spanish then you are going to have a hell of a time. Absolutely horrible. I have called this school for over two weeks to get help with paperwork, left several messages with different people and no one has returned my calls. Half the time the people in the front desk aren’t even there to answer. Tried to give this school the benefit of the doubt bc of the reviews and it was a waste of time.

I got accepted into USF, but none of my Florida Technical College credits were applied towards my degree. Therefore, going to Florida Tech was a waste of money. I had to start over at a community college just to get into USF. UCF and USF have agreements with local community colleges to accept all students that finish their AA degree. Plus, community colleges are way cheaper than private schools like Florida Tech. My advice is to just go to a community college, especially if you plan on going to a University or Medical school/Grad school.UPDATE: I recently graduated from USF and I decided to follow up. Low and behold I see that Florida scam school has responded and reported my post as spam in an attempt to hide the truth. The accreditation that respected schools have is from the sacscoc, if you google it you can search their database for all schools accredited by them in the South. If you follow my advice and attend a school on that list you won’t have a problem transferring your credits. Good luck and FYI most of the 5 star reviews are fake.

I went here for an entire year under the computer science program, I eventually failed out due to personal issues like depression and lack of motivation. Reading all the reviews here I almost re-enrolled but I dont want to get stuck with a degree that I cant do anything with.Im going back to VCC or SCC the UCF or ROLLINS. All these reviews are negative but I got a great career Im not only a Medical assistant Im an office manger of a lab as well. Worked great for me I got a great externship site that hired me on I did the Degree program and I got money back from my finaical aid so I dunno why all these reviews are negative I had a great experience great teachers got great grades I shined the entire time.

I am a former student from a while back, i was here on 11/03/2014 @ 1:50pm - 2:15pm. the purpose of my visit was to pick up records for attendance & cost of classes. At that time i was simply asking a few questions about financial operations, how the loans are processed, & a number to corporate; verbally might i add & immediately security was called by a lady named Tonia the claimed security guards name was luis.{ i did not see anything to indicate this person was an officer of any kind} That action of hostility came to me as very suspicious, all i was doing was asking questions & getting MY OWN PERSONAL DOCUMENTS. which everyone has the right to do. for my own records i tried taking video the incident which i am also allowed to do, when i did luis grabbed me by my hand seemed like he was trying to get me into a restraint of some type in which he ended up damaging my phone, I immediately left in fear of not knowing what this person might have done next while being rushed out. Again this was all verbal and i was only there to pick up records that rightfully belonged to me, yet somehow the staff at this academic facility felt the need to prompt a physical altercation on their behalf. I did not even get all of my documents either because of that incident, only some because this all happened as Tonia was printing the documents for me. {this lady was also very rude answering back in such a loud tone to obviously get the attention of her co-workers in the nearby offices all right next to each-other - when i asked her the questions about how the school/company handle or process the cost of classes based on attendance & other factors i.e do i get charged for an entire class if i only attended a day? To me that seems like withholding information. I have never seen a business act so unprofessionally, they did not use the term get security for whatever reason, instead they said get luis. I dont know what that was implying, but it surely appeared to be threatening which ultimately came out to be true & that is not how a college of any type should respond to a situation like they did.

I would never ever recommend this school to anyone. It is a waste of time, money and hopes of a better future. Worst School ever!! Do not waste your time, money or education here! My fiance and I both went here, we were lied to soooo much about financial aid, credits, and pretty much everything. We went to the Kissimmee campus and were the minority for not speaking spanish! We asked a head of time if it would be a problem that we didnt speak spanish, they told us that they were not allowed to speak spanish in class~ that was just another lie! We had a very hard time all of the students and teachers spoke spanish and we had a very hard time getting any instruction. I called many colleges around Fl and other states and no one will accept a degree from FTC. No one will hire students from FTC, They were telling us to apply for jobs that we were not qualified for and telling us to lie on our applications and in interviews. Most of the instructors are not even qualified teachers some of them have no degrees just a little job experience. I got straight As 4.0 GPA, that I did not earn, you do not learn anything there and the pass you so they can keep thier accredidation and get financial aid funding. So be careful!! Go to Valencia or another public school that is a real school, and costs a quarter of what FTC charges!

They keep giving you the run around and fake dates for graduation day!

This school is unaccredited, useless degree for $20k. The office assistant Tonia is the worst scum I have ever dealt with.

FTC Director John Bob at the challenger parkway campus is unprofessional If he doesnt like a person no matter how good the employee Is he will make up stories to have that person fired which is sad that he wants to play God with other peoples lively hood.

This school is a scam and is not taken legitimately seriously by any institution.Look into an actual school.

I want an orientation

I am studying my Medical Billing and Coding career for seven months and for me it has been an excellent experience. His teachers of the best quality and very human. They care about their students and their progress. Their administrative staff is excellent too and they care about our progress. I recommend it 100%.Thank you Florida Technical College. Since I started classes, my experience has been very good, the teachers are always there to help you, although you ask the same thing 10 times, they explain it to you without problems. Opportunity for study and work for me has been the best. I have the experience on campus also online and for my super!
