Should you choose to ignore the negative reviews and base your decision to attend this school on the positive ones, don’t be mad when you find out the negative ones are 100% true… you were warned.I strongly advise you to spend your money elsewhere as I am currently attending this “school” and regret ever deciding to do so. It’s about the money here and they could not care less about you once the money is received.

Halfway through my program which cost 20k they decided to switch to online learning. Of course using COVID as an excuse but this came probably the day after the governor lifted the mandates. This is after falsely advertising “hands on” education. I tried to switch classes explaining that it is very difficult to learn a skilled trade on a computer screen and was sent to the dean. She very kindly told me that if I didn’t like it I could just drop out. Leaving me financially responsible for a degree I didn’t receive and knowledge I did not learn. Two weeks into these hybrid classes the instructor sleeps at his desk the days we are in class and today he never showed. If you care about your education and money run away from this place. They enroll you on all these promises of a wonderful school. What you really get is old dirty buildings. Overcrowded classrooms. Antique tools and equipment that are broken and falling apart.

I was really excited to start a phlebotomy course at southern technical. At first it looked very professional and inspiring. But after a couple weeks, I received a call saying that my instructor was no longer able to teach my class, and the course would not be partially online, with only one class a week being hands on.This was very frustrating because I had changed my work schedule around this course. I was taking it while waiting from college classes to resume, in a attempt to get a job in the medical field while attending college.Because they changed the schedule completely, it was impossible for the majority of the people in my class to continue the course, so it was cancelled.I think it is very unfair and unprofessional. I, as well as my classmates, were counting on this course for a career step. Instead it was a waste of time, study and gas.

They are not willing to help with online classes or any options students that get infected with COVID-19, even when you show proof. They dont understand that is required to stay home 14 days when test positive. They are not being responsible or care for other students in class or the staff. They will drop you out of school and leave you in debt with no options to retake a class or use any credits.

Why in the world would any of you students spand about $40,000 for a job paying you $10-13 per hour? Also this is not a college. Thats why you are here because you didnt go to college...

As a graduate from Southern Technical College I will personally recommend Mohamed Khan as a great teacher and instructor. He goes far and beyond for students to learn and have the hands on experience. Always there to help and make sure we learned all aspects of the industry.

Really good college a lot of good instructors who help educate you with the knowledge and tools you need to succeed. Mr. Khan is one of the best there, he’s so knowledgeable and anything you have a question on or need help on he’s right there to help.

I had the pleasure of Admissions Representative Jessica Laundry to help to start my journey for a career path. She was awesome, well-organized, and knowledgeable. She definitely wants you to succeed and does not see you as another student. On top of that this school has awesome programs with tools to get you where you need to be.

My experience has been wonderful, being one of the many students that we had to adapt to teaching online from one moment to the next. I started in January and I am about to graduate this year, went through the entire period of the pandemic, the externship coordinator found me an excellent place to do my externship and Ive just been hired at the same clinic. As a immigrant spanish speaker I am proud to be part of Southern Technical College and thanks to all the help, understanding and support provided I became part of the honor society.I highly recommend Jessica Laundry, was the person who helped me with everything I needed to get started and was present at all my career time, always supporting me and happy for my accomplishments.

I Graduated from STC Orlando in August 2020 and it was the most exciting experience I have had the teachers in the HVAC Program are the best there are some who stood out more than others though.Mr. Mohammed Khan who I was only able to get one class with but he gave me the best foundation of wiring for ac units as well as the proper way to calculate super heat and subcool and because of this Im where I am today.Mr. Hightowers knowledge of the entire industry was a wealth of knowledge thanks to him a have my epa and I know the refrigerant cycle like the back of my hand. Because of these two teachers I was able to not only graduate but I was able to get a Career as an AC service tech before I even graduated. And I know that when Im on a job and get stumped I can call up Mr.Khan and Mr.H and get the exact help I need thanks to you both

I needed a quick HVAC certification. STC offers a 10-month certificate program. The program is intense, as 2 years are crammed into 10 months, but it is well worth it. There was not one instructor I did not like. A couple that stood out...Mohammed Khan: Very knowledgeable. Was one of the more difficult instructors with whom to achieve a high grade, but I also learned the most from the effort I had to put forth.Gerard Hightower: I had Mr. Hightower for my first and last HVAC classes. I was very impressed with his knowledge. Hightower has a different teaching method than Khan, but both are very effective at finding the balance between helping versus letting the student figure it out and learn from his/her mistakes.Charles Tarre: Mr. T was a great instructor and also very friendly. Ts class was the first full-time on-campus class I had, since I started during lockdown and most classes were online. Ts class was my first real lab on a regular basis, so I definitely learned a lot from T.I plan to keep in touch with the 3 abovementioned instructors on a personal level, as I really liked them all, not only as instructors, but also as friends. I just hope they dont mind me calling them by their first names, since Im not a student anymore, and in the case of one, Im almost double his age! :-)All others were also great, but online, so I didnt really get to know them as well as the 3 abovementioned instructors.I will likely be returning to STC to pursue the electrical program. Im hoping the electrical instructors are as good as the HVAC instructors!

Ive been going to Southern Technical College since Aug 17 (Graduating in July) and I love it! My teachers are amazing and are always willing to help me with anything I have concerns about. Im currently in the PCT(Patient Care Tech) program, by far one of the best things I have done in life. Im also getting help from the school to get my GED. Im able to do my main class and come to my GED prep class, get work done and still not feel overwhelmed. The GED teacher is the best! She works with you at hand and strive for you to do your best and accomplish that goal of obtaining your GED. Overall coming to this school was a big step and Im so grateful I walked into those doors almost a year ago.

Came for the Patient care Technician program. The staff and admissions reps were very helpful throughout the registration process. The director and Dean were amazing and very helpful with the students. They work with your schedule so that it’s possible to take your classes. I had a great experience here at this school and now I can continue with the knowledge given to me to pursue other greater ambitions.

I am currently taking my Fourth class in Southern technical college. Thanks to Jessica Laundry for helping me with everything and for being so nice and positive, Right now I am in the Medical Assistant Program and since i started everything has been amazing .The professors are really nice and helpful, Some of them do really good games to learn the content more fast and easy and if you’re having a hard time they will explain it to you more in details. I am glad i made the decision i did because we are all like a family❤️

If I was able to give zero stars I would. I have told the staff and supervisor named Jennifer that I didn’t want to attend the school and I continue to get several calls a say while I have a business to handle. The customer service was horrible and very disrespectful.

I am currently attending the welding classes. Ive achieved so much in just 2 months that I never thought I was possible of doing. The instructors on the welding courses are amazingly talented and know how teach this field properly. My fellow classmates and the class ahead of my own are friendly and more than willing to show a helping hand.

No school ever gets 100% good reviews. There is always something good and bad to say about them. In my case, I have been a student here at Southern Tech Orlando Campus since the end of November 2016. There were times when I wanted to give up and some instructors were not helpful and there are 2 particular instructors that there teaching methods have given me faith in the field that I am looking forward to getting in. Ms Kelly Perry and Ms Patty Montgomery are excellent instructors when it comes to book learning as well as laboratory and clinical skills teaching. But I want to point out especially Ms Montgomery. She is an amazing instructor. She cares if you understand what is being taught. She gives that extra time between classes to help not only her students but other instructors students that arent understanding the material. Ms Montgomery pushes each student to reach the goal of getting an A in class. I have a few friends here at school that were C & D students and have even had to retake classes because the instructor they had prior wasnt helping them enough to understand but because of this wonderful instructor, they have become A & B+ students. If any were to think about attending any school for the medical field, I would definitely without a thought recommend here where these 2 instructors care about you as a student and an individual.

No single institution is perfect, but some are close. Proud to work for a company that truly wants whats best for students; to learn a new trade and begin working in that field! The feeling of seeing my students pass their GEDs or learn to weld, or draw blood with ease, go on interviews with confidence, and walk across the stage after all their hard work, is incomparable to anything Ive ever done.

Southern Technical College (Orlando Campus) Is disorganized and all-around money hungry. Never will I ever recommend anyone to attend this school! They prey on low-income individuals and trick you into thinking you are making the best decision for your future. When in actuality, you end up being in major debt and nothing to show for all the time you put into receiving this expensive education. Their accreditation is flawed and goes through unfair hoop holes. Valencia doesn’t even accept credits from them! My issue with this business is that they are all over the place and have different departments that tell you different things. Because of their uncoordinated administration, I couldn’t even attend graduation. I had to miss out on my big day because the person that ran the career service department had forgotten to put in the order for my cap and gown. I’ve spent 2 hard-working years trying to obtain my associates degree in Medical Assisting. And I say “trying” because I have completed my two years and passed but they refuse to give me my diploma and hold it hostage because I’m supposedly not current on my out of house loan payment. After I shelled out a lot of money to stay current. I then received my transcripts with no problem and the registrar department ordered my diploma with no problem and said I can pick it up once it arrived. When I called to see if my diploma has arrived, they said it has but they can’t give it to me because for some odd reason, once again, I’m not current on my payment. I was then transferred to the registrar department to get clarification since my previous conversation with them stated otherwise. In the transfer, I was sent to voicemail and I left a message regarding the issue. Still, I have not received a return call. This school is a scam, the administration is full of lies, and is not helpful to the students! Please steer clear of this organization and go to Valencia or any other REAL accredited school!*an update! I filed a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau and told them exactly what I wrote in the above statement. Now all of a sudden, someone from registrar called me today and inform me that I can actually pick up my diploma! What a surprise! Cant believe they tried to pull a fast one on me and have me pay something I didnt even have to.

I have had the pleasure to work with Southern Tecnical College for the past year. I have experienced nothing but professionalism and a genuine concern for the students attending the school. The staff are well qualified professionals who provide all the tools needed to be successful. I would recommend this wonderful educational establishment to anyone looking to further their education!

I am currently taking a course with Jose Castaneda and he is an awesome teacher. He teaches us in a way that we can all relate to and understand. He takes us to the lab and get us ready for the field. If someone is having a hard time he takes time out of his day to attend to them on a one on one level. Like I said before he is a great teacher and one of the better reasons to go to STC!!

I work for STC and visit all 7 campuses consistently. What I absolutely love about the Orlando campus is the constant positive buzz when I walk in. The instructors, staff, students are welcoming and it feels as though youre walking into your familys home. Its a wonderful place to work and go to school.

One of those scholarship mills. They are not accredited by the state of Florida. Classes are waste of time and money. A person with average intelligence would not attend or work here.

Great school, students are very knowledgeable once they are done with their programs, wonderful staff to work with, always answer their calls and emails promptly. they not only train their students on their fields of choice, but they also prepare them to enter the workforce, they teach them things like how to get ready for their job interviews etc. I recommend them very highly.

I was very pleased with this campus. The staff was very kind to me and they were super helpful when it came to assignments that I struggled in. Also the GED program was a plus, I love the way the instructor was dedicated to helping us and giving us more than one resource. Ms. Dawn was very nice and helpful to all the students, she would stop what she was currently working on to help. I can really say starting my externship i was given the tools I needed with the help of a few teachers. (Mrs. Brown, Ms. Perry, Dr. Pagan and many many more) I walked into the office ready to show off my skills!

All I can say is RUN!!!!! As fast as you can too! The administrative staff are very unorganized and they are money hungry and don’t care about you! They do everything just to save themselves from getting fired! And will never give you corporate number or anyone higher position. If you think you’ll get a job when you finish here or that they will even help you think again! They will waste your time , and tell you all sweet stuff in the beginning but wait until you reach the end! I tell you RUN!

I came in by accident because a friend wanted to start the medical assistant program. Even though it’s only been a couple of months it’s been the best accident of my life. I had a bit of a bumpy start with getting in between financial aid and getting transcripts and all the necessary paperwork in, but once I got in things have been going so smooth. I’m staying on top of my classes and working full time. The teachers, administration, and admissions reps really are all here for you and to make sure you are successful. I highly recommend this school if you are thinking about going back to school to further your education. I have recently celebrated my 3rd anniversary at STC-Orlando. I really see and cherish the differences I make in students lives. We have the BEST Director of Education and Executive Director! They really take care of their staff.

Upon my arrival here the staff were polite and determine to help me get started! The one thing I loved is the teachers will go the extra mile for us. My last three months with Ns. Jenny has been great. She goes above and beyond to teach us and shes really awesome.

This program is great, it gives you enough information for students and tools to utilize through the courses. Its all about applying yourself , the students in the class are all supportive of each other and push each other to reach our personal goals . I recommend anybody who wants to get their GED here to come !

Ms.Montgomery and Ms.Perry are by far the best clinical skills teachers at this school. They make you feel completely comfortable and since they have been Medical Assistants for some amount of years before teaching they know the ins and outs. They are incredibly amazing teaching from the book as well and are always very helpful. If you ever get them you will definitely be in good hands.

My experience with two professors, to say the least; Was and is a life changing experience for me personally. The only negative thing I have to say about this school. Which is the reason for the 4 star rating, rather than a 5; Is the faculty in the main office are unorganized. Unorganized, in a way that makes life more difficult. But, I am seeing, (most certainly!) positive changes. This is specifically, in the electrical program, mind you. The two professors, are Mike and, Jose. The make things understandable, with seamless performance!

The staff is amazing - committed, caring and effective. You feel like you are truly part of a community, a true school family, who want the best for their students. Emphasis on learning, kindness, and educating well-rounded students.

Ive had a wonderful experience here at Southern Technical College. Dr. Langford, is a wonderful administrator and instructor. Shes the best at what she does and is very helpful when needed. Personally, this school has pushed me above and beyond my potential ability with the help of the faculty and students.

IT was a wonderful experience. The only problem I had was with my transfer credits. The instructors are knowledgeable and helpful in their chosen fields. The staff is always ready to help when ever it is needed.

As a current student, I am constantly amazed with this school! From the instructors (especially Instructor O. Ive been at southern tech since July 2017 and am loving the experience . I always thought school was just not for me but I was proven wrong. They have great professors like Ms. Jenny who go out of there way to make shore you understand the material. And the director of education Dr.langford was always making shore I kept on track . Excellent school will definitely recommend.

The curriculum thorough it will feed your knowledge. Bring your desire to learn. I like the atmosphere and location. The atmosphere was good. I was done before I knew it!

I attended STC for my Medical assisting Cert. and it was great! All of the staff members are helpful and are there to assist you through your journey. all the hands on experience and after school labs are a great way to experience real life scenarios in a safe environment.

BEWARE!! WORST SCHOOL EVER!!! Ive been an MA since 2004, I have my Associates Degree and have been working as an MA since 2004...I went to STC over 2 years ago just to get a refresher and to get help with getting my Certification (which they didnt do, I had to do that on my own). STC didnt find me a place to do my externship hours so I had to use my job that I was working at back then as my externship site. STC didnt help in finding any jobs, or resume help or anything that they stated they did there. But the one thing theyve been doing for the PAST 2 YEARS is harassing me via email, phone calls, text messages so that I could sign a paper for their accreditation affiliates. Which I have been refusing to do because STC didnt do anything except take my money! They then decided to get sneaky with me and had someone contact me by text stating that they had a job opportunity for me and for me to send my resume. So I send my resume thinking that they are actually going to do what they were supposed to do. Turns out they took all the information from my resume, filled that paper out for their accreditation affiliates and faxed it to the drs office I work at currently...so that I could sign this paper. Then they send 2 of their new employees to my job where I work just to have me sign this paper. I was super upset that they had the audacity to trick me just to get my current job information (that isnt even the job that I was working at 2 years ago when I went to that school) and then they came to my place of employment. So I asked the 2 employees why its so important that they came to my job while Im working so I could sign these papers...And their reasoning is because they need it signed to stay accredited so they need to prove to them that Im working as an MA. I then stated to these 2 that I was already an MA and was working as an MA while I was in STC and that this school didnt help with anything and I had to do it all on my own so why should I sign this paper? They then go on to tell me that a bunch of previous students are upset with this school as well because STC isnt helping students with all the things Ive mentioned above and that they need the paper signed so that they can stay an accredited school. They just kept saying over and over to stay accredited. Ok so....theyre accredited...but yet Valencia wont take their credits?!? I sign the papers just so they would stop harassing me and I could be done with this POS school. Then a few days later...STC calls my job AGAIN...wanting to verify that I work there! Seriously??!! STC is a revolving door of new employees ALL THE TIME and is nothing but money hungry, sneaky, conniving liars that love harassing their old students just so they can get their money and supposedly stay an accredited school. My advice...go to an actual college like Valencia where they dont charge you $15,000 for 10 months of BS and they actually help their students and dont harass you and show up at your place of employment just to get you to sign a paper! I will definitely be reporting STC to the BBB... especially for the harassment!!! Stay far away from this school!!!! And DO NOT contact me via email, text, phone call or show up at my place of employment or call my job again STC!!!

Started my second course in the HVAC program today here at Southern Technical College, and i can tell you with out a doubt the staff here are above par and have the best personalities. From admissions supervisors that cover front dest duties early in the morning to help anyone out to admissions representatives like Jessica Laundry who cares about every phone call or person that she comes across. Within 3 weeks these wonderful people helped me get signed up for class and all my financial aid in place to attend class with professors that so far have not disappointed at all!

A company dedicated to both students and an exceptional learning experience. Having served on their outside focus groups to enhance the curriculum I was able to see first hand the depth of learning programs. Management is involved with the day to day operations and really listens to the students.

My experience at southerm Technical College was a great one. The teachers take their time and make sire that ypu are actually learning. They understand that many students are balancing work and school and they work with you to give an opportunity to learn together. The faculty is great too. You can go wrong with Southern Teach.

I had the opportunity to speak to the students about Multi-Family Housing opportunities after graduation as well as tour the facility and was very impressed with the hands on training that the students are given as well as the knowledge and professionalism from the teachers who also have experience in our industry. Would definitely recommend for any individuals interested in pursuing a career in the field.

I have successfully completed the MA program last month and I’m already employed at a local hospital! The constant counseling and help from STC staff has helped me along the way and even after completing the program. Their instructors are AMAZING, specially Mrs. Perry and Mrs. Brown! Their dedication and passion is outstanding. Extern coordinator Tina is awesome and very helpful as well. This was a life long decision that I will never regret. The day I sat down with Jessica Laundry and signed up for school changed my life for the better and I couldn’t be anymore grateful ❤️

I was a student here just recently graduated and finished 10 months worth of classes for my HVAC/R degree. It was a little hard getting used to the speed of things because it’s definitly a fast pace environment but the time spent studying and working hard and networking with my peers and teachers have definitely have been a plus for my experience. I originally never planned to go back to school but when this opportunity came up honestly I felt blessed and am happy I made it through it all. The staff is wonderful, they work hard for you the student and strive only for your success. The classes are full of information for the trade and a lot of experience packed into every lesson

Southern Technical College was a great experience for me. In my 10 months here in the HVAC program I have learned a lot. All of the staff are very nice and more than willing to help anyway they can. All of the instructors are well trained and very knowledgeable in their field or expertise. Great decision made to attend classes here.

Great experience so far.. I was a bit hesitant to enroll initially but after a week of attending the course I realize I made a good choice. Staff have been very helpful and professor Friener rocks!

Everything was going well until I finished. I finished one month after graduation and I have to wait a hole year to walk. On top of that, they rarely helped me to find a stable job after my extern. I have been a hole year without employment. Thanks.

Every time I go into the building all the students have a smile on there face and can see how engaged they are with the field they are studying for. The staff is very professional and welcoming and really engaged with there students to make sure they have the proper tools and education to be successful in there future.

When you first start they will appreciate you when you almost done to to extern they might send you very far from home they will tell you they will help you find a job when you finish they lying if you find a job on your own they will tell you to come back take a picture so they can put it on the wall to make they self look good I graduated months ago still can’t find a job I regret going to that school take my advice if you wanna take a loan for school don’t go there after you graduate they will be rude to you all they care about is money all the other reviews on here is them doing it oh yeah the state exam is nothing you learn from the whole time you were there take my advice stay away

I have been in STC Orlando for over the period of 4 years and I have found that the individuals are quite welcoming and accommodating. STC Orlando has facilitated me to nurture into a professional human being; also have taught me how to deal with individuals. It is imperative to note that the Orlando Campus Provides excellent environment for growth and development of students both ethically and theoretically.

As a student here at Southern Technical College -Orlando Campus, I have found it to become something I would have never thought a school could be. Since Ive been a student Ive gain so much as a person than a student. There was a point in my career as a student where I found myself at that point of giving up but thanks to all my classmates and instructors and staff here at Southern Technical College, I found the power that was hidden behind fear of failing. To bring myself back and push myself into becoming a student that the college would be proud to have. And to show myself that if I put my mind into becoming someone more than just a student I could, and would be a person who could and would change the outlook of what a student and employee should become. Im very happy that I didnt quit but fought through my struggles and over came my fears of failure. Today I can say that Im happy that I choose Southern Technical College.

On my last module, I am going on externship in less than two weeks and this school and the instructors have given me so much knowledge and experience I feel confident that I will be successful in the medical field. They always have something going on for the students, food, celebrations and school activities. We have celebrated National Medical Assistant week all this week and they spoiled us! Great school for adults looking to gain a career while still carrying a job and family life. You do have to put in the work and do your part but if you do that you will do great!

Good school, some of the teachers are awesome, the directors know how to do their job but some staff members are really rude and unprofessional. The assistants that are at the front of the office need more training. I dont understand how a place thats supposed to educate people hires someone that gives horrible costumer service. I would not recommend it to anyone just for that. Please give yout staff members more training. ; )

My first thought about this was school was nothing hope success and honor. I got all of it and more. From the the overly dedicated teachers to the the very exciting courses. This place gave me more then I can imagine. I want to think all of the teachers and staff. I went from retail to I can tell you your blood pressure. Thank you Southern Tech

The instructors are phenomenal.I recently had the opportunity to speak with a recent graduate of the HVAC program and I was encouraged to hear of his positive experience while a student at Southern Tech. He couldnt say enough good things about the faculty and how they fully prepared him to enter the workforce; he was especially pleased by the assistance the school offered in helping him find employment when he was concluding the HVAC program. Its great to meet a recent grad who is happy and satisfied with his new job. This demonstrates the exceptional student education offered at Southern Technical College.

I graduated from the Electrical program in this school and it was hard for me because the English was my Second language but Miss Liya was my first teacher and she helped me a lot she made me feel like I can do it and I did! I study hard and I passed all my classes with A and just now I’m looking for job and I’m very happy I did finish my Colleges. This college have great professors that help with everything and they are helping me find work now! Thank you for everything STC

I was satisfied with what I learned, and I am confident that I have the knowledge to work in my field. The instructors are professionals, they know what they’re doing. I think that this school is the best option to choose if you want to make a career of welding.

It was a journey of about 10 months but it was so must fantastic and fun that it go very fast and now I am in my last week.Good instructors and good managements taking care of awarding students every months was the best part.I learn lot and also a good hands on experience increased my confident.Its very hard to part with but wherever I find opportunity for further studies I will definately join STC and ask friends to do the same.

I have been to this school since January of 2017 and have my internship at the end of October, I have noting to complain about... the instructors are very nice specially Mrs. Perry . And I would like to say thank you to Mrs. Liya also for every single time shes been taking to encourage me to choose this opportunities.

Graduate of the Orlando campus - welding progam. I love this college, my daughter loves the staff here, I love everything about this college! If you are a veteran, this is the college you want to learn a trade and gwt a degree. The instructors care about the students and helping them learn the material, as long as the student is trying to learn. They are friendly and easy to talk to about any questions or issues you may have. The school invested a lot of money into a new welding lab, that will give students practical experience with the big name machines. I had such a wonderful time here that I was coming to class early and staying late just to visit with the staff members. The career office has some of the best in the business. They will bend over backwards to help you find employment in your field of study. I cant say enough good things about this campus, and the staff here.

If you want too Destroy your credit.become 30k in debt with nothing too show for it.invest countless hours for an 18 month period.Students coming out of this school Know very little about the Trade nor will any employers hire a Graduate from this school.Theres a sucker born every minute. Dont be one of them.Learn from other peoples mistakes.
