This martial arts academy is unique~ more than just function fitness, Capoeira makes exercise into a fun activity by incorporating music, dance, and culture as components of the Brazilian Martial Art curriculum.Not only did I loose weight, and have kept it off, but Capoeira also to helped me get in shape; rebuilding stronger than before my workplace injuries and other accidents.I credit Capoeira with my overall health and fitness: it was at the academy that I found music, modified exercises, stretching, and a warm/encouraging community when traditional physical therapy was too monotonous to keep me motivated.My gratitude is beyond words; and I hope those who read this post will likewise experience the joy and many other benefits they are sure to find when training with the Capoeira Brasil family.

Personally loved the first class I took with them and hence decided to sign up for the first month. I guess this is where I went wrong, I should have paid when I actually started the first month. I fell sick for the following 2 weeks so couldnt really start going to class. I was hoping theyd understand and let me start my first month a little later. But of course when youre running a business you wont care about all that. Lost $75 but wouldnt want to go there again for the reason mentioned.Great teachers, great students! Sadly a little business minded for their own good. Its hard to find a good martial arts school in LA and I thought I found one.

An amazing organization!!!! The couple that owns this business is all heart and so talented, the community is incredible, and the space is all soul. I have been a student for about a year and way overdue to write this review. Great for kids and adults alike

Best Capoeira school in LA. it is a community oriented school for all people of all ages. Offers many classes on the evenings and even weekend. Very active in the community and belonging to a global organization. Amazing talent goes here to learn from.

My teen is a student here. After a year-long break, he was ready to go back and loves it even more. The atmosphere is friendly, also very *family* friendly. Kids can be kids. Everyone is encouraging and open-hearted. The staff is dedicated to helping students grow in all ways. They are a blessing to the neighborhood and the city.

My first time trying Ethiopian food was at Capoeira Brasil Los Angeles. Overall a very pleasant experience, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Everything was delicious and thanks to recommendations made by our server, we were able to tailor our meal to our preferences. Amazing! Will be back for sure!

Saying that I love this place is an understatement. It checks the box in so many categories.Capoeira Brasil is amazing in regards to fitness; for me there there’s no better way to get into shape. The strength you achieve both mentally and physically is amazing.The Brazilian Culture is alive in the space and by training you become a real part of a global community. Capoeira as a martial art is so much more than just that. It’s hard to put into words but it really teaches you a lot about yourself and the world around you and you get that at CBLA.And the end of the day it’s incredibly fun and only gets better as you grow stronger in the art.Prepare for some strength training, acrobatics, cardio, laughs, sweat, friendships, personal tests of perseverance and exposure to a whole new world of people, lansguages, cultures and most importantly, be prepared to grow.I love it.

I think the price point makes it attractive since there are more pricier burger options nearby if youre trying to be a baller on a budget. The employees were super friendly here and they do take credit cards/atm , I think a recent review review indicated cash only but that is not the case.

Incredibly amazing!!! I have been taking my wonderful 4 year old to different classes throughout LA since she was 10 weeks old. Capoiera Brasil is one of THE best places I have ever taken her to. The teachers like Axé are super focused and love the children. They truly know how to teach, love and be super patient and FUN with the children.The families and additional staff like Jackie, are super friendly and loving as well. It is truly a community and feels like family/home when youre there.I recommend starting your children as soon as possible. Yessss! They have a toddler program wooo hoo!
