Me and my brother have been going there for 5 years and we r already black belts. This place is amazing! It has amazing amazing teachers and everyone is amazing and so kind. Whenever u don’t understand something they always make sure to reteach it to you and they only move on once you understand it! Pls go there they are amazing!

I am a life-long runner (okay, really slow jogger) and ten years ago I just wanted to add upper-body strengthening and stretching to my routine. I found so much more than that with Master Yangs Taekwondo! Master Yang is an amazing, inspiring teacher for both adults and children - my children thought my new-found bad-ass skills were so cool they signed up as well. You get a sweat-pouring cardio and strengthening work out at the same time, as well as a mental one! She never teaches the same class twice, and her classes are always fun and challenging. I worked with Master Yang as a Taekwon-Do instructor for many years, and I can honestly say that there are few people more qualified to teach, and dedicated to their students, than she is. If youre looking for a teacher of true quality and integrity, look no further.

Before moving back to Europe, I was a student of Master Yang, and she is the real deal. She has been studying under Grandmaster S.J. Kim before opening up her own school, and I cannot praise her loudly enough. Not only does she teach you the movements and forms of taekwondo, but much more importantly does she instill the spirit of taekwondo in you. Words like perseverance, discipline, love and honor are not just words, but guiding principles of her teaching. There is no better place to send your kids but here (and certainly SJKIM on the UWS). Where else do you both get lessons for life and physical training from a two times ivy league educated taekwondo master with a heart of gold?
