I first went to this school as a student and eventually I was offered a job by the manager to start teaching A+ in 1999. Worked as A+, Network + and started the CCNA class in the early 2000s. I got too busy with my daytime job and had to leave in 2007. I have enjoyed teaching here for almost 8 years and now Im sadden to hear that it has closed. Best of luck TM.

I took CIT1 here and am now taking CIT2. Mo is a great and patient teacher with a tremendous wealth of knowledge. I recommend this school to anyone who is serious about learning and is committed to doing the work!

Very friendly and helpful staff as well as knowledgeable teachers. Loved the hands on experience. In addition, everything was always clean and neat during this whole COVID experience.

I took my Comptia A+ exam here and will be going in on the 13th to take my CSA exam. I really enjoyed the testing facility and the way the staff treated us when I went there. Also the bathroom sign is 10/10

Took my Real Estate Final here and was welcomed by Taro who greeted me and pointed me to the locker after providing the payment. I was then given a piece of paper and a mechanical pencil as well as an optional pair of lime green ear plugs which I found pretty thoughtful. The testing room had an air conditioner that kept the room comfortably cool. The key boards are a bit old, when it was time to answer survey questions asked on the final I felt my typing was disruptive to the other test takers considering how loud the key board was.The bathroom was really clean and the entire facility, although it was rather small; seemed well kept.

Updated after taking Network+ class: 5 stars was based off A+ experience.A+ Review:Took the A+ class here and it helped a lot. The staff was very helpful. Nice benefit to taking an exam here was definitely the price too; cheapest around.**************Now my review is 3,5. My review is based off the 4 week Network+ Saturday class. While the staff/teachers are nice and knowledgeable, there are still a lot of topics we did not cover in the class. The majority of the class was talking about subnetting, which is a bit difficult however it was described well.My issue with this class is the way we spent our time:We will spend too much time on a single topic, or zoom over topics without going into detail. The zooming part was definitely noticeable on the last day. For example, we were setting up virtual computers (which is good to know) and spend a good 2/3 hours waiting for the machine to initialize.Suggestion (if you are reading) have the computers setup, and if we need to wait sometime for a program to load, TEACH something in the dead time.It is frustrating when you are paying money to just sit and learn nothing! You are essentially better off watching a Professor Messor video or something else.

I decided to take the MCSA course at the New York Business Institute. The director (Taro) was very polite when I inquired about the school. I went down and took a tour of the facilities. The price was very reasonable. The place could use some paint but that should not stop you from taking classes and learning. The instructor Mo was charismatic, sarcastic and very knowledgeable. He was always able to know where the students went wrong during the labs and correct them. I feel as though I was given the proper instruction to be able to pass the exams. I still need to study on my own to make sure. I would definitely take another class when able to. Give them a try.

I took one of CompTIA exams here. The facility was not new, but not outdated. The people on reception were affable. I showed them two government-issued IDs, signed the agreement, and then I was photographed. There were spacious lockers where I left my handbag with all my stuff. In the computer room, I was seated and given a dry erase lap board and a pair of earplugs (which I had to use due to the noise from the street). There were several other people taking different exams in that room. It was pretty nice experience overall. How to find: the entrance is between Blooms Restaurant and Concord Hair Studio.

I took my Economics exams here for an online course I was enrolled in over the summer. Easy to book, quiet room, and a $25 fee. The place itself is hard to find so give yourself a little extra time whenever youre going there for the first time.

Used the Proctoring service for a college final. Facility was clean and there was enough space between workstations to spread out a bit. Def well priced considering its right in the middle of Midtown Manhattan.

A great place to learn about popular IT certs out there. Whether its Cisco, Microsoft or CompTIA, NYBI has very knowledgeable instructors that makes learning enjoyable. From the beginning of finding about classes with the director (very polite guy) to taking the wxma. Wanna learn or take an exam? NYBI should be at the top of your list.

I just completed 2 courses at NYBI, CCNA and MCSE 2012. My instructors were John and Mo; both were incredible. Mo was always well prepared, extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond, always showing us what to expect in real production environment. I have learnt so much and Im now confident and ready to finally take the exams. Thanks Taro and Ginny and one more thing, I am not employed as a Network Engineer at a major New York Hospital.
