The place looks dirty.

Our son went there for 3 years plus summer camps. It was a great experience for him and for us. Its a really lovely campus with caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable staff. What a wonderful environment!

We are so pleased and grateful for Athena Montessori. It is the most loving and peaceful environment for little people to grow and learn. Our son has matured and his ability to voice his specific concerns and feelings blows us away every time we see something new from him. There are so many things that make this school a special place and truly a community in its own right. What a gem!

Weve had nothing but good experiences here over the two years weve had our kids attending. It is a beautiful campus inside and out. Staff development is a priority and it shows. The admin team are as good at what they do as the classroom guides. Lots of fun extracurricular activities throughout the year for kids and families alike. They also offer great parenting classes. Our kids are getting such a strong foundation for when they start in AISD!!

We love Athena and felt really lucky to get in off their waitlist this fall. The classroom environment is calm and pleasant. There are great male as well as female teachers (I think its nice to have more gender balance among the staff than Ive seen in many daycare environments) and most speak French and/or Spanish fluently. My standard when looking for pre-schools was is this a place where I would want to spend my day? Athena passes that test with flying colors and my son seems to really be flourishing. All the time he sprinkles his new knowledge about the world into conversations with me and feels proud and happy about what hes accomplishing.

Our son just finished two years at Athena Montessori and it was a bittersweet day, walking away from this beautiful school. The culture of the academy (relaxed, yet committed) was exactly what we needed for our son.They treat each child like a member of a the family, and it is a very inclusive feeling you get when you are a part of the Athena community.We had to deal with a serious health problem (mine) this year and uproot our entire family to Boston for three months. During this time, they kept in touch with us with letters from his schoolmates, allowed our son to facetime with his class, and welcomed us back with open arms when we returned. I know some schools would take the opportunity to give up the slot and/or hold the slot with continued monthly tuition. Neither of those happened. They just made it work.Our Primary guides Brittany, Janey and Drew were amazing. They helped us realize our son had mild sensory processing issues, something we knew nothing about until they suggested we get an evaluation with a local OT. His prior Montessori in California, although a wonderful school, did not catch it. The OT he received in the last year will carry him through the rest of his life, so it was a critical find and we will be forever grateful for the intuition of his guides.The schools director, Lisl, is 100% dedicated to the program and has built a beautiful culture that feels like the epitome of Austin...creative, casual, devoted, passionate, brilliant...I could go on forever with adjectives to describe this place.We looked at every Montessori in town and just knew this was the place. We were right. : )

Absolutely beautiful campus with such great leadership and culture, truly amazing!

Both are boys go here and we couldnt be happier!
