A great place to work out and learn TKD and/or Aikido. The Master is a former Korean Army soldier and very good with people of all ages (small kids to retirees); he possesses incredible knowledge of martial arts theory and history. He is honest about sports techniques vs. street techniques and is also very, very funny. I enjoyed all my time here and was sad when I moved and could not longer attend. People who live between Highland and about Fairfax, or 6th up to maybe Melrose, can walk to the studio. Its a 10 minute walk (max) from Park La Brea.
Ive been learning Aikido from Master You for a few years. Ive tried other martial arts in the past, but Aikido has proven to be the best thing for me. Its helped me with my overall self confidence as well as keeping me moving after a full days work at my desk job.
